About Lyø Escape

Only 100 participants

For those of you old enough please rewind to the original round Funen race, Fyn Rundt from Korshavn. Picture the lagoon outside outside of Korshavn filled up with hundreds of boats with RIBs taxiing the participants in and out of the harbor - that's the vision for Lyø Escape. But unlike Fyn Rundt Lyø Escape is a more including event. It's aimed at participants and boats in cruising mode. The competition will be laid back and there will be no sailing after 6 PM. Lyø Escape is adventure sail racing in it's most relaxed form - sailing in the daytime socializing at night. You could be on your way home from your summer sailing trip with the boat loaded for and a crew consisting of friends and family. Or you could just be looking for a reason to get away on a  weekend that combines sailing and socializing.

You'll dock in during Friday AUG 20 and meet up with the rest of the ESCAPISTS for an in informal welcome at at 7 PM in "Anders the Chefs" inn "Hly" on the middle of the Island.

The sailing be on Saturday AUG 21. Everybody back in due time for a beer on the pier and to get organized and drees up for live music, dining and dancing - the theme of the party this year will be the 1980ies. Don't forget your dancing shoes!
